Noridian Medicare Endeavor Updates
Last Updated: January 20th, 2017
Noridian Medicare Endeavor: It has been said that the most powerful force in our healthcare system is the current generational change. The boom of baby boomers becoming eligible for Medicare each year is shifting how practices serve patients and shifting reimbursement. Increases in elderly patients drives the need to be skilled in keeping up with Medicare requirements and available tools. On May 1st 2016 there is a change in how information can be accessed for Medicare Jurisdiction F. The Medicare Administrative Contractor for Oregon (Noridian Administrative Services) is ending the system called Noridian Medicare Endeavor and a new system called the Noridian Medicare Portal will be available.
We highly encourage all to register for the Noridian Medicare Portal (formerly Noridian Medicare Endeavor) as this will be the best way to access information about medicare patients. This tool is useful for all practices serving Medicare patients.
Here are items that will be available through the Noridian Medicare Portal:
- Eligibility
- Claim Status
- Financial Information
- Appeal Submission and Status
- Claim-Specific Remittance Advice
Currently, the only change from the prior system is that Providers will now be responsible for the administration of accounts to allow access. This means it is critically important to register and create a Provider Administrator Account. This was not required in the past. This administrator will be able to approve of the request for access from staff. We will be helping our clients navigate registration and find online access to Medicare extremely valuable in making sure claims are processing smoothly.
